Doukihito's Ability Vs. Movement Negating

Question:
If I let my Doji Doukohito get sent home by an opponent's Furious Assault (which stops him from being allowed back in battle), can my Doukohito still use his battle action to bow out any dishonored people in my opponent's army?

I'd imagine he can because there are no smart cards and the battle action doesn't have the move-in as a cost, but since he can't move in, is it considered an illegal move since his ability isn't on a card in the battle and won't be able to move him in due to the existing effects on him?

Furious Assault
Battle : Target one of your Berserkers or bow one of your target Personalities or Followers: Lose 2 Honor. Target an enemy unit. Its controller may move it home and bow it. If it moved, it cannot move again this Combat Segment. If it did not move, destroy it after this Combat Segment ends.

Doji Doukohito
Battle : If any attacking enemy Personality at the current battlefield has lower Personal Honor than Doukohito: Move Doukohito there. Bow all dishonorable Personalities there. You may take an additional Battle action.
